About Toms Tree Services in Marquette, MI
Built from necessity. Driven by determination. Rooted in the Upper Peninsula.
Our Story
Earned One Job at a Time
Toms Services didn’t start with investors or a fleet of equipment. It started with a ladder, two shovels, and a hard Upper Peninsula winter that left work needing to be done.
Two people took on whatever jobs came up, and word spread. Today we serve residential and commercial customers across Marquette County and the surrounding U.P. Our approach hasn’t changed: work hard and do the job right.
Every truck, tool, and team member we’ve added was earned one job at a time. Toms Tree Services is the next chapter of that growth.
Leadership
Meet Nick: Forestry Background and Field Leadership
Nick has been with Toms Services since the beginning, back when the equipment list was a ladder and two shovels. He’s helped build this company from the ground up.
Nick earned his degree in Forest Management from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point in 2018, then spent more than five years in the field as a consulting forester and as a staff forester for a timber investment management organization. That work took him across the Upper Peninsula and the Great Lakes region.
That training, combined with real-world work, means your trees are looked at by someone who understands how they grow, how they fail, and how to handle them safely.
